Elena, a seasoned lead and alto, has been creating harmonies and performing with groups since she was 10. She has been on stage in half a dozen countries, and has honed her skills over time singing with a variety of groups and styles: chorale, a cappella, Broadway tunes, sacred, and rock and pop cover band tunes. Her experience playing piano, arranging music, and spontaneously singing with friends and family has helped her to maintain a sharp ear for creating harmonies extemporaneously. She keeps up her stamina to sing and dance while performing into the wee hours by keeping up an active running, swimming and biking schedule, although she has yet to participate in an actual triathlon. Maybe next year.
Stephanie has sung professionally most of her life. Her accomplishments include one of the co-founders, manager, and lead vocalists in the Hawaii-based R&B Old School group—eight0eight. eight0eight had the pleasure of performing for the Tahitian government in To’Ata, Papeete Tahiti to an audience of ~7k. They completed three USO tours performing in countries: Singapore, Japan, and Ecuador to name a few. She has resumed performing in the bay area with notable bands–Monica Marquis, Komfort Zone and HI-NRG.
Stephanie is not just a vocalist, she is a performer that engages an audience – a night with Stephanie is simply priceless!
Steve started his musical life training on piano, viola, and guitar. He eventually joined Ottawa oldies band The Hip Replacements as bassist, figuring it would be an easy way to get in with much better musicians.
Steve later moved to San Jose, and in 1998 caught the resurgence of swing music, playing bass with Black Market Beat. He later worked with local rock bands Silverbacks and Rockweiler. In 2017, he found a great musical home with HI NRG.
